Bethune Deployment

Empowering students Through Technology with GenTech

The conclusion of the 2023-2024 school year marked a significant milestone for GenTech with our largest community event to date! The “Crazy Computer Build” deployment at Bethune Elementary School was a resounding success, with over 100 students and their families receiving a computer to take home.

Throughout the school year, GenTech instructors were on campus Monday through Friday, teaching Kindergarten through 8th grade during the day. Every student at Bethune received instructions from GenTech, offering courses tailored to each grade level and preparing them for the next steps in their tech journeys. Starting with robotics, to coding, to circuitry and wrapping up computer builds.

For many students this was their first computer at home. They took immense pride in what they accomplished this year and many said the GenTech class inspired them to pursue careers in technology when they grow up.

By providing access to technology and education, GenTech is bridging the digital divide and empowering the next generation of innovators. We are proud to have made a lasting impact on the students at Bethune Elementary and look forward to continuing our mission in schools across the community.
